About
Founded in 1967 by Roy P. and Roy E. Smith as a dairy farm, Smith’s Quality Eggs added its first chickens in 1975 and has since grown into a commercial egg farm serving Central New York and the Northeast. Today, owners Roy E. Smith, Caryl Smith, Carlton Conklin, and Roy T. Smith help carry on the family business, producing more than 15,000 dozen eggs daily — about 6 million dozen each year. In addition to offering all sizes of shell eggs, the farm raises corn, wheat, barley, hay, and straw, and also maintains a small beef herd.
