Silver Spring Farm began its journey 1914, after John Luchsinger, a Swiss immigrant, saved enough money to purchase 90 acres of CNY farm land. Over 100 years later, the farm is still going strong. It’s one of North America’s leading jersey cow herds and a longtime supplier of milk to Byrne Dairy. Silver Spring Farm jerseys won 39 consecutive Premier Breeder Awards at the New York State Fair. Silver Spring Farm also operates the nearby Farm Market on West Seneca Turnpike, stocked with local Onondaga Grown products.
